hotelsbarcelona24.com - Costas of Barcelona
Once you have visited the most importants bits of Barcelona, it is highly recommended to discover more of the coastal line of the area. You will find there quieter beaches where you can forget about the city buzz as well as small towns with their authentic Catalan identity.
Costa del Maresme
Costa del Maresme is a 60km long coastal strip that goes north from Barcelona up to Costa Brava. Here you will find long beaches and crystal clear water. The most visited places in the area are archaeological centres Burriac and Mataró, as well as Arenys de Mar with its Baroque architecture. All towns in Costa del Maresme are easily accessible by public transport, especially by trains that depart from Barcelona every 20-30 min.
Costa Brava
Just a bit further away from Barcelona is the famous ‘wild coast’ of Spain – Costa Brava. The home of the world-famous Salvador Dali offers a breathtaking scenery along with many beautiful beach resorts like Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar or Figueres. You will find here also plenty of golf courses located along the coastal line, making it the golfers’ paradise. You can quite easily get to anywhere in Costa Brava taking a bus from Barcelona’s bus station. Higlhy recommended!
